Alex Sabo ’18, biology major:
One of my favorite things about Dr. Kuserk was how passionate he was about everything. Whether it was his work, his students, or his family, he was able to make you feel just as excited about it. A few weeks ago, during lab, Dr. Kuserk was telling us about how excited he was to go home. He told us one of his daughters was pregnant, and both of his daughters were going together to the doctors. This meant he got to watch his grandson, Gavin. He spent the afternoon telling us about all the things they were going to do—just the boys. His passion for everything he cared about, including his family, was infectious. By the end of lab, we were just as excited for him to go home and see Gavin. Dr. Kuserk was an amazing teacher, friend, father, and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. I am so thankful for the time I got to spend with Dr. Kuserk, including his last ecology lab. Moravian will never be the same without him.
