On Saturday, September 7, Moravian professors Dr. Cathy Coyne (public health) and Dr. MaryJo Rosania-Harvie (art) joined community members to celebrate the dedication of the Bethlehem “Peace Wall” in Bernie Fritz Playground, on the city’s north side.
The public artwork’s two large murals were created by local muralist Matt Halm and the students of Liberty, Northeast, Thomas Jefferson, and William Penn schools. They worked on the theme: what peace looks like.
Coyne and Rosania-Harvie collaborated on the project with CITYarts, a nonprofit organization that engages young people with local artists to create public art.
