Thank you for returning to read another edition of The Comenian! And, thank you for reading my first editor’s letter, too! Don’t worry, AJ will be back with another one this Tuesday!
We have been working tirelessly to get our first print edition of the semester into your hands and are excited to say that they will be available this coming Tuesday. For now, we wanted to show you a bit of what we’ve been working on by releasing just a few of our articles. The rest will be made available on Tuesday!
From what I’ve heard, this semester has been crazy for everyone on campus, and I am so proud of all the hard work that our writers and editors have been putting into this edition despite their busy schedules. I really do appreciate everyone’s hard work!
I am in the same boat with an insane amount of things to do. As Noah Kahan would say, this semester, You’re Gonna Go Far. One thing I have noticed about us Greyhounds is that we all experience the same theme every semester. Some are just plain weird, while others, aka this one, are just busy. But, no matter what, we ride through these semesters together and are always supporting each other. That’s what I love so much about this campus.
With the elections just days away, make sure to keep an eye out for our continued political coverage. We have some in this edition and have some other articles in the works! Why has every candidate on the ballot decided to come to the Lehigh Valley during midterm season?
Before I sign off: if you’re interested in joining The Comenian please join us at our meetings, which take place every Wednesday at 5 p.m. in Zinzendorf Hall, room 100. We also have secondary meetings on Thursdays at the same time and place for people who can’t come on Wednesdays. If you cannot make it to meetings, that is fine as well! We fully allow asynchronous participation, so don’t feel scared about not making it to meetings.
We are looking for new writers, photographers, videographers, graphic designers, and more, so if any of those interest you be sure to stop by or email AJ at [email protected].
The Comenian supports a wide range of content. If you want to interview students around campus, you can. If you want to make video essays you can. If you want to make short comics, you can. Whether you want to write about news, politics, music, movies, sports, video games, food, history, or anything else, I guarantee you will have a place here.
Also, if you would like to be notified by email whenever we publish a new edition of the paper – either the online or print version – please send your address to [email protected]. We’ll add you to our email list!
That’s all from me folks! Thank you for reading our paper and be sure to check back in for future editions!
