On Nov.10, the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Dallas Cowboys with a final score of 34–6. As many NFL fans know, the Eagles and the Cowboys have been each other’s biggest rivals since the 1960s, and every game between the two leaves fans on both sides on the edge of their seats.
A victory against the Cowboys with such a wide gap between the winning and losing team’s score was a huge deal for Eagles fans, and the victory was made even sweeter by the fact that this game was the first time since 2017 that the Eagles have beat the Cowboys in Arlington, the Cowboys home front.
After that win, the Eagles flew home to Philly to play against the Washington Commanders on Nov. 14, and with a final score of 28–18, the Eagles secured their second win of the week, along with their eighth win of the season.
And, to wrap it all up, the Eagles recently took on the Los Angeles Rams in another away game on Nov. 24, winning a victory with a final score of 37–20. Unfortunately, Brandon Graham was injured in the game and has since been confirmed to be out for the season.
Still, this leaves the Eagles with nine wins and two losses this season, and they currently stand as number one in the NFC East, followed by the Commanders (number two), the Cowboys (number 3), and the Giants (number 4).
Overall, it’s a good season to be an Eagles fan, and many are exulting the players both old and new, with special praise being thrown at Saquon Barkley, a 27-year-old running back who used to play for the Giants before being drafted to the Eagles this season. (Fun fact: he grew up in Coplay, PA, only about twenty minutes from Moravian, and attended Whitehall High School!) Let’s just say that with his ten touchdowns so far this season and his passion for the game, us Eagles fans are happy to have him with us!
I hope the Eagles can keep this momentum going, and I look forward to more wins like these as the season progresses!
