This is wonderful, Anna! A reminder of all that we;’re so fortunate to have access to, still–and of the power of storytelling to cheer us and bring us together.

I love this, too! Thank you for giving us an uplifting way to think about our current circumstances, Anna! That middle, “Magic of Possibility” panel is gorgeous!

I love this. I have heard both students and faculty say that they miss seeing the smiles that are “behind the masks” so having a comic corner to reassure us that creativity and inspiration are still possible, is a good thing. It also reminds me that Chris Cooper took an unfortunate incident (Central Park birder) and is now creating a comic strip as a form of therapy and education. https://www.washingtonpost.com/arts-entertainment/2020/09/09/christian-cooper-comic-central-park-birding/?utm_campaign=wp_evening_edition&utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter&wpisrc=nl_evening&fbclid=IwAR20S0zBOtycOhHoPAC_wUcGaF1s5k_RzWdnKXkYnUqzRxQjBiq3SqQFMDI

Thank you – a very nice view on the optimism and renewal that entertainment can provide. its often criticized, and we CAN be excessive in our reliance on it, but this is a well-crafted, poignant reminder that these sources of distraction can have their role and we can & should enjoy periodic escapism.
