November 4, 2022: the day was set! The Moravian University symposium on Land, Race and Slavery began. Standing in the Saal of the Moravian Seminary, Dr. Heikki Lempa of Moravian’s history department welcomed Moravian Church leaders, scholars, and pastors from all around the world — including from Germany and South Africa — to the two-day event.
