Welcome back, everyone!
With a new semester must also come new Comenian refreshes and we are ready to rock and roll right off the bat. It’s been a wild first week (in more ways than one) but we are rearing to get back into the swing of things.
We are also excited to welcome the biggest freshman class in the University’s history. It’s insane just how populated and alive campus has been since this semester started.
Since you last saw us we have made some changes to our editorial staff. We have decided to remove the copy editor role and have replace it with section editors. As of this refresh, Lola Offenback will be the editor of the news and community sections and Fatimah Bouri will be the editor of the opinions section. I am also pleased to welcome Joel Hendricks to our editorial staff as he will be taking over as the entertainment editor.
We will also be at Club Fair on Tuesday, September 5 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, so be sure to stop by and say hello! We are incredibly excited to welcome all the fresh faces at Moravian.
Before I sign off: if you’re interested in joining The Comenian please join us at our meetings, which take place every Wednesday at 5 pm in Zinzendorf Hall, room 100.
We are looking for new writers, photographers, videographers, graphic designers, and more, so if any of those interest you be sure to stop by or email me at [email protected].
The Comenian supports a wide range of content, if you want to interview students around campus, you can. If you want to make video essays you can. If you want to make short comics, you can. Whether you want to write about news, politics, music, movies, sports, video games, food, history, or anything else, I guarantee you will have a place here. And no experience is required.
Also, if you would like to be notified by email whenever we publish a new edition of the paper – either the online or print version – please send your address to [email protected]. We’ll add you to our email list!
Thank you for reading our first refresh of the semester. I hope you come back soon as we continue to publish new content every other week.
Your editor-in-chief,
AJ
