Dear readers,
Welcome back to another edition of The Comenian!
We are back at it again with another edition and on top of that, we have multiple new members! Club Fair was a huge success (even though I was sweating all over the place). Of our new writers, Giara Piazza,Alexis Jordan and Lyana Cintron are making their Comenian debut! I can’t wait for you all to see what they all have in store.
Starting this refresh, we are starting our environmental coverage for the year. Climate change is the preeminent issue of our time, so we would like to reflect that by making it our overarching focus for the year.
If you somehow haven’t noticed, the food truck is finally up and running . . . well, kind of. Currently, the truck has been operating once a week on Thursdays. I went to get a cheesesteak and fries there and let me just say that my friends and I were blown away by how good the food is. Don’t get me wrong, it’s no Wiz Kids, but if you’re looking for a nice meaty and cheesy blood clot generator to bring into your body, you won’t find any better place on campus.
I got the loaded fries and they came in an absolutely enormous bucket, so if you’re looking for some bang for your buck definitely get the loaded fries. Also, a special thank you to Christine Bell for allowing us to announce the first official food truck event on September 7. You’re amazing.
Before I sign off: if you’re interested in joining The Comenian please join us at our meetings, which take place every Wednesday at 5 p.m. in Zinzendorf Hall, room 100.
We are looking for new writers, photographers, videographers, graphic designers, and more, so if any of those interest you be sure to stop by or email me at [email protected].
The Comenian supports a wide range of content, if you want to interview students around campus, you can. If you want to make video essays you can. If you want to make short comics, you can. Whether you want to write about news, politics, music, movies, sports, video games, food, history, or anything else, I guarantee you will have a place here.
Also, if you would like to be notified by email whenever we publish a new edition of the paper – either the online or print version – please send your address to [email protected]. We’ll add you to our email list!
Thank you for reading our first refresh of the semester. I hope you come back soon as we continue to publish new content every other week.
Your editor-in-chief,
AJ
