- Facilities will be repairing and replacing benches that have either been infested with carpenter bees and/or are decaying. Don’t be worried if you see your club bench is replaced, bench painting will happen next year!
- Dwight Holloway will be attending a research conference with the help of a USG discretionary request at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
- Student Engagement Committee held a Spirit Day event on Sept. 21 in the HUB, with raffle prizes and quick-grab items. The winner of the raffle has been notified via email.
- Latin Rhythm has been recently approved as a new club sponsored by USG. Reach out to their e-board if interested in joining!
- The Finance Committee would like to clarify that the cash advance voucher and the receipt for it can be dropped into an individual’s club folder that is shared with the USG account but it does not need to be put into the USG Reimbursement / Voucher sheet. Cash advances should be completed directly through the Business Office, not through USG.
- The Internal Operations Committee has refilled all hygiene products on North and South Campus. Remember to fill out the QR code form when a bathroom is running low on products (USG does have a limited amount of resources, so restocks are usually on a scheduled basis).
- USG Inauguration will take place Wednesday, November 15 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in the UBC Room and the Pavilion.
- USG internally voted biology major Cielo Disla ’25 as Member of the Week. She is the Senator of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Thank you for your great work and dedication to improving this campus, Cielo!
- The Student Engagement Committee continues an initiative from last semester, emailing all students about upcoming club events, so reach out to [email protected] to add your club event to the list.
- The USG Google Drive that is shared with club leadership features a spreadsheet for clubs to share their club event posters and social media posts for USG to promote on its social media.
- The PR team is available to help clubs with advertising, flyers, social media posts, and any other concerns; just reach out and ask!
- USG Election campaigning starts in October, and voting occurs on AMOS on Nov. 6, the same day as actual elections. Keep following USG social media accounts for updates regarding elections if you are interested in running for a position this semester.
- As always, USG meetings are held in the UBC room every Tuesday and start at 4:45 p.m. All faculty and students are invited and encouraged to attend the meetings.
