Dear readers,
Welcome back for the spring semester!
Some of you may notice that this edition is a little light on the articles. Well, that’s because we are currently gearing up for another physical edition! Keep your eyes and ears out for more information in the coming weeks!
We are excited to be back this semester bigger and better than ever (come on let me have my moment). I’m confident this will be one of our best semesters yet and I’m excited for you all to see what we have waiting in store.
We all know and see the old HUB is currently starting to be torn down as the start of the renovations quickly approach. This has undoubtedly been a hectic and stressful time for the entire campus, especially the departments that have been displaced by these renovations. Despite that, however, campus has been running (mostly) smoothly and it’s in large part because of the dedication and perseverance of Moravian’s faculty and staff.
I want to offer the biggest thank you ever to all the departments currently being affected by the HUB renovations. You all are amazing for sticking with us and continuing to support our community in amazing ways! The perseverance and tenacity of this university always impresses me and it makes me incredibly proud and happy to see that tradition is continuing through this tumultuous time as we experience some growing pains as a University.
Before I sign off: if you’re interested in joining The Comenian please join us at our meetings, which take place every Wednesday at 5 p.m. in Zinzendorf Hall, room 100. If you cannot make it to meetings, that is fine as well! We fully allow asynchronous participation so don’t feel scared about not making it to meetings.
We are looking for new writers, photographers, videographers, graphic designers, and more, so if any of those interest you be sure to stop by or email me at [email protected].
The Comenian supports a wide range of content. If you want to interview students around campus, you can. If you want to make video essays you can. If you want to make short comics, you can. Whether you want to write about news, politics, music, movies, sports, video games, food, history, or anything else, I guarantee you will have a place here.
Also, if you would like to be notified by email whenever we publish a new edition of the paper – either the online or print version – please send your address to [email protected]. We’ll add you to our email list!
Your editor-in-chief,
AJ
