Valentine’s Day may be over, but that doesn’t mean I’ll stop praising anything related to it.
For the second year in a row, I had the pleasure of attending Valentine’s Day Dinner at Clewell on South Campus. This dinner consists of a three-course meal, including a salad, an entrée, and a dessert, all for just five dollars and a swipe! A pretty worthwhile deal, all things considered.
I love that Moravian Dining offers such a delectable dining experience for you and that special someone. I don’t tend to go all out on Valentine’s Day because it’s sandwiched between my boyfriend’s birthday and our anniversary, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to do at least something romantic with him.
The Valentine’s Day dinner has the convenience of being on-campus, being affordable, and above all, is a cute romantic setting.
This may be the closest that my boyfriend and I get to a chic dinner date at an upscale restaurant for now, but I can’t complain when the food was immaculate. Even though I’m a casual salad eater, I really enjoyed the delightfully leafy appetizer; a great start to the meal before I would absolutely devour the upcoming entrée.
For our entrée, we chose sliced beef with asparagus and arancini. I couldn’t get enough of how juicy the meat was amidst the more bitter taste of the asparagus. I chowed down like there was no tomorrow!
Finally, the dessert: I don’t think words can express how insanely delicious the sponge cake drizzled with chocolate syrup and topped with strawberries was! Not only did it taste exquisite, but it also looked the part! I mean, if having a strawberry cut up to look like a rose isn’t impressive, I don’t know what is!
Throughout our dinner date, our servers were quite attentive and made sure that we were enjoying our time there, which I thoroughly appreciated. It wasn’t just the meal prep that made the experience worthwhile; it was also the effort put into the romantic ambience that added the special, smaltzy touch to everything.
