Dear Readers,

Welcome to our 12/9 edition of The Comenian!

This is our last refresh of the semester and our staff have been hard at work to finish strong even amongst the onslaught of tests and papers these last few weeks.

The semester is almost done and we are all sprinting to get past the final stretch of the semester. Though finals are quickly approaching, make sure that you give yourself some time to breathe while studying. I know we all have a ton to do but studies time and again show that cramming everything in as much and as fast as possible only leads to less retention of information.

Also, I know many of you are stressed right now, and rightfully so, but just remember this: it may feel like you are carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders but this is only one week in your life and two weeks from now all of this will be over and you won’t have to worry about these classes anymore. Absolutely treat your finals seriously but just remember that this is not the end of the world and you will make it through this.

Before I sign off: if you’re interested in joining The Comenian please join us at our meetings, which take place every Wednesday at 5 pm in Zinzendorf Hall, room 100.

We are looking for new writers, photographers, videographers, graphic designers, and more, so if any of those interests you be sure to stop by or email me at [email protected]

The Comenian supports a wide range of content, so if you want to interview students around campus, you can. If you want to make video essays you can. If you want to make short comics, you can. Whether you want to write about news, politics, music, movies, sports, video games, food, history, or anything else, I guarantee you will have a place here.

Also, if you would like to be notified by email whenever we publish a new edition of the paper – either the online or print version – please send your address to [email protected]. We’ll add you to our email list!

Thank you for reading this week’s refresh. I hope you come back soon as we continue to publish new content every other week. Be sure to check back in when we return next semester!

Your editor-in-chief,

AJ
